Eating Alone

If you think about it, eating by yourself is one of the most awkward situations a human can be in. When I go on my break during work, I either sit on a couch by myself and eat a snack my mom made me, or I sit in a restaurant alone and eat. Today I had Subway. I sat alone and decided to watch the people as they walked by. Then, one of the workers who was mopping the floor decided to talk to me. Lucky for me, he barely spoke English and I didn’t understand half of what he said. From what I did hear was that he was quitting in about 3 weeks and he lives in Hoffman Estates. (He asked where I lived too.. I said Barrington. I didn’t want to get too specific.) He also works at the Wendy’s. One thing that I couldn’t quite understand sounded like him saying his boss shot him.. but I don’t think that was true. Most of the time I just nodded my head and said, “Yeah.” Next time I go on my break, either I’m not going to Subway, or I’m bringing my food back to Abercrombie.
